Beached Az!

Unable to move, the whale is subjected to often pointless but always comical conversations with a host of passing characters. Every episode is an exploration of the whale’s life as he tries to pass the time with gentle conversation and find solutions to his troublesome quandary of being beached. The characters the whale encounters provide an array of insights and ignorance to his plight that ultimately gives the series its comedic edge.

There’s a Seagull who can’t understand why whales can’t eat chips; a salt-fearing Sea Snail who is searching for the promised land of a “garden”; a Baby Whale who only swims in fifteen-minute intervals; a Squid that’s excited about being bait; a Stingray that needs cheering up; a Duck taking his children on an educational field trip; a Turtle that’s in a hurry to bury her eggs; a hearing-impaired Bluebottle; a disabled Starfish waiting for his arm to grow back; and a Crab that thinks his claw is his girlfriend. Ultimately the characters come up with a plan to get the whale “de-beached”, but can they all work together to save the day, or will the whale forever be “BEACHED AZ”?
