Cheryl Tiegs
Cheryl Tiegs is a model, designer, author, businesswoman, public speaker and avid spokesperson for health and fitness, the environment and underprivileged children. Tiegs is the very definition of "Supermodel" and is acknowledged as an icon for women of all ages.
Tiegs' career started at age 17 with the covers of Glamour, Seventeen and Elle magazines. She eventually graced the covers of Vogue and Bazaar and became known as "The Cover Girl." She was the first model to appear three times on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and she also made the cover of People magazine four times, as well as the cover of Time magazine three times, most notably for the "All-American Model" cover story at the age of 30.
Breaking with convention, Tiegs started a signature line of clothing and accessories for Sears. The Cheryl Tiegs line sold nearly a billion dollars of merchandise in its 10-year span, helping turn the company around. Thus, Tiegs appeared in another Time magazine cover for "Sassy Sears."
Cheryl Tiegs is representing her friend's charity, the Farrah Fawcett Foundation.
