Will Alex be the next Cricket Superstar?
Alex
Hometown: Adelaide
Age: 19
Skill: Pace Bowler
Despite having a father who played first class cricket for South Australia, it was only after years of backyard cricket that Alex finally decided to get serious with the game, joining Prospect Cricket Club at the age of 13. He played three seasons with them before moving to Hope Valley Cricket Club for one season. The following year, in 2009, Alex moved to the Northern Districts Cricket Club where he remains today. Alex has showed huge promise throughout his junior years, culminating in a spot last year in South Australia’s under-19s team. In 2011 Alex travelled to England for a cricket holiday, and spent six months playing for Colwall Cricket Club in Herefordshire. Alex’s cricket hero is Glenn McGrath, and he says his most memorable cricket moment was watching the 2006/7 Ashes test at Adelaide Oval. Alex currently works as a storeman.
