Will Cameron be the next Cricket Superstar?
Skill: Spin Bowler
Growing up in Adelaide, Cameron (affectionately known as Camo to his mates) first started playing indoor cricket at the age of five. He switched to outdoor when he was 10, playing for Northern Pines Cricket Club for the next five years. At the age of 13 he also joined the Northern Disctricts Cricket Club where he remains today. Since he was 14, Cameron has played in the SACA youth squads, and was selected for South Australia’s under-17s and under-19s teams. He also represented South Australia in the last two Futures League matches. At the end of the 2010/2011 season, Cameron was awarded the Major General Symes Trophy for Bowling at the State Players Awards Night, which is awarded to the South Australina cricketer with the highest bowling aggregate in the Under-19 male championships. Cameron currently plays for the Northern Districts Cricket Club, and has just been selected for SA’s second XI. Cameron’s hero is Shane Warne, and his most memorable cricket moment was seeing Warne take his 600th wicket. Cameron also plays AFL during the winter season.
