Will Josh be the next Cricket Superstar?

Hometown: Sydney

Age: 19

Skill: All Rounder

Josh started playing cricket at the age of seven at Penrith RSL Cricket Club with their under-9s team.  He remained with Penrith for his entire junior career.   Josh moved to the senior club, playing for Penrith’s fifth-grade team, in 2006 but soon made remarkable progress, and was rapidly promoted by the club.  Clarke’s bowling and solid batting earned him quick state recognition, which led to captaincy of the under-17s NSW City team in 2009.  Shortly after, Josh was called up to represent NSW in the under-19s Australian championships. Josh entered the NSW Pathways program while he was at school, which allowed him to split year 12 over two years so he could contiue his rise up the cricket ranks. Josh currently plays first grade cricket with Penrith.  Josh comes from a sporty family, and his grandfather used to play rugby league for St George.  Josh used to play soccer, and compete in athletics and cross country.  He is currently an indoor cricket umpire, and also does some one on one coaching.
