DARREN YOUNG

WWE ROOKIE

Height: 6 foot 1
Weight: 240 pounds
From: Miami, FLAssociates: CM Punk
WWE Debut: Feb. 23, 2010

As comfortable in the VIP section as he is in the ring, Darren Young’s life revolves around three things — money, women and wrestling. Blessed with natural talent and a physique only seen in comic books, this fixture on the South Beach club scene is so gifted he can party all night and still be the first man in the gym the next morning. Young may be flashy, but any man on the WWE NXT roster would be a fool to underestimate a competitor as talented as this.

CM PUNK

WWE PRO

Height: 6 foot 1
Weight: 222 pounds
From: Chicago, Ill.
Signature Move: G.T.S. (Go to Sleep)
Career Highlights: World Heavyweight Champion, ECW Champion, Intercontinental Champion, World Tag Team Champion, Fastest-ever Triple Crown Winner, two-time Money in the Bank winner

Luck is for losers, at least according to CM Punk.  Even though his arm is literally tattooed with good-luck charms, Punk believes you make your own good fortune through hard work and intense preparation.

Growing up in Chicago, the Raw Superstar’s childhood consisted of watching the likes of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka exchange words, then blows. Such heated rivalries helped Punk realize that sports-entertainment was where he belonged. Adopting the “straightedge” movement—in which one bases their life around personal development, and avoids drugs, alcohol and a dependency lifestyle — Punk has brought his own style to WWE.

Punk's in-ring repertoire is an assimilation of fighting styles he has learned from his travels around the world. In his WWE pay-per-view debut as a part of Team DX at Survivor Series 2006, Punk brought down the house in Philadelphia where fans showed their respect for his talents.

In 2007, the Straightedge Superstar obtained the ECW Championship by defeating John Morrison on ECW on Sci Fi. In his tenure in the Land of the Extreme, he was considered a top contender and constant threat for whoever was holding the ECW Title.

At WrestleMania 24, Punk won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, becoming Mr. Money in the Bank. This meant that Punk earned an opportunity to challenge any WWE champion, at any time, through WrestleMania XXV.  On the June 23, 2008 edition of Raw, the Straightedge Superstar was drafted from ECW to Raw. The following week, CM Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, pinning a vulnerable Edge to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk went on to hold the Championship for two months before losing it in September 2008.

On October 27, 2008, Punk teamed up with Kofi Kingston to become the World Tag Team Champions. Most recently, C.M. Punk defeated William Regal for the Intercontinental Championship on January 19, 2009. By doing this, he set a record by achieving the WWE Triple Crown (World, Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships) within the shortest amount of time: 203 days. He then went on to capture the Mr. Money in the Bank championship opportunity for a second time at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania.

The Straightedge Superstar has taken his thrill for living the clean life outside of the ring.  He was the Sports Grand Marshall of the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, appeared on Monster Garage on the Discovery Channel, was a behind the scenes guest- correspondent for FUSE and was met the supernatural during an appearance on Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi.

CM Punk recently drafted to SmackDown cashed in “Money in the Bank” at WWE Extreme Rules and became World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Jeff Hardy.
