Kenny Baumann portrays Benjamin 'Ben' Boykewich, a kind-hearted 16 year-old sophomore who plays the cymbals in the school band. He is also the boyfriend of Amy. He is very devoted to her and completely fixated on her. Ben is the heir of a wealthy meat company owned by his father, Leo. He plans to marry Amy and use his fortune to raise the baby with her. His father forces him to get a job in the family butcher shop rather than take for granted his father's wealth to aid Amy and her baby. He despises and even admits to being jealous of Ricky at first, but the two end up starting a friendship after agreeing to work together to help support Amy in raising the baby.
Kenny Baumann started acting at the age of 11 in New York and Texas. He moved to L.A. at age 14 and almost immediately landed a role as one of the leads in a pilot for Fox alongside Alan Ruck and Kristen Johnson, penned by famed playwright Nicky Silver. Most recently Kenny shot the independent feature "Springbreak 83" with a cast that includes Jamie Kennedy and Joe Pantoliano.
Kenny was born in Urbana, Illinois, and grew up in Abilene, Texas, where his family still owns and operates a miniature horse ranch and wildlife rescue. Kenny is inspired by the work of Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus, Michael Haneke, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Francis Bacon, James Brown, and Erich Fromm. He also loves writing, photography, music, and improv comedy.
