Arrow: All The Details For The Upcoming Season

New management, cast shake-ups, storyline twists and reunions, as Season 7 of Arrow approaches, there’s no shortage of info to catch up on before shooting into next season…

Management changes

As fans would know, last season saw executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle exit as leaders of the series. But not to fear, Season 7 will be helmed by series writer Beth Schwartz, while Guggenheim remains on the show as an executive consultant.

Cast farewells and incomers

While Season 6 saw fan favourite Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthrone) shot and killed, he will be replaced by returning hero Roy Harper (Colton Haynes). However there’s no word on what this means for Thea (Willa Holland), who left the series following a romantic, epic send off with Roy last season. Why isn’t Thea returning with her love? What happened on the trip?

Larry Lance

Jail time

Fans would know that Roy’s return would be a blessing for team Arrow after Oliver (Stephen Amell) was jailed for his actions during the finale of Season 6. With this and Diggle (David Ramsey) leaving the team for ARGUS, the structure of this fractured crew looks more than unfavourable. But one thing is for sure, fans should get used to Oliver’s face behind bars, at least for the next while…

Olliver

A not-so-wanted reunion

While Oliver resides in Slabeside Prison he is only destined to run in to some old acquaintances like Ben Turner/Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Derek Sampson (Cody Runnels) and Danny “Brick” Brickwell (Vinnie Jones). As well as this, fans would have seen the Comic-Con tailer for season 7 revealing one of the most brutal fights on the series to date.

Waking from the dead?

The biggest threat of this season won’t be old inmate acquaintances but a group that was only teased in mythical and cryptic ways last season. Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) is back and with the Longbow Hunters including Red Dart, Silencer and Kodiak.

A jump in time

Fans should be made aware that Season 7 won’t start exactly where last season left but a few months later, five months to be exact. So, expect all characters to be in completely different locations in the premiere.

Lock yourselves in, Arrow Season 7 will be a good one.
