Extremely proud of his indigenous heritage, Dillan was born in Toowoomba and grew up in Mt Isa with his three siblings. He moved to Newman, a small town in WA, around eight years ago to work in mining, where he lives with his long-term girlfriend. Dillan has only been playing AFL for five years, having moved across from Rugby League, but has a hardness and athleticism that stood out to the coaches. In the past, Dillan never really believed he could make it, and coming from a small town he hasn’t had many opportunities, but he is determined to make the most of this opportunity. With his cheeky persona and easy going nature, he is sure to be a hit in the Recruit house. He is good mates with Adelaide Crows’ Charlie Cameron who inspired him to try out. His AFL hero is Nat Fyfe.
