A talented sportsman, Jackson grew up in Melbourne where he excelled in both football and cricket, before moving to WA for a brief stint to play with the Perth Dragons. In 2010 when he was 18 years old Jackson tied with Dyson Heppell to win the Morrish Medal, which he celebrated by buying a pet carpet snake and naming it Morrish. He was hugely disappointed when he wasn’t drafted – he says he made stupid decisions in the past, missed practice and got on the wrong side of the coaches. He has the talent to go far, as long as his fitness and commitment doesn’t let him down once again. Confident and well spoken, Jackson currently works in sales for a forklift company. His AFL hero is Shane Crawford.
