Described as a typical country bloke, Jayden grew up in Broken Hill but moved to Adelaide when he was 18 to play footy.  After a stint playing with Central Districts in the SANFL, Kelly returned to his hometown and has been a standout in the Broken Hill competition since.  In 2014 he made the history books when he won his fourth Lionel Johnston medal over five years – he is one of just three players to win this prestigious award on four or more occasions.  Nicknamed “Spider Nuts”, Jayden is the oldest Recruit in the house, and believes he will take on the responsibility of the younger lads.  He is good mates with “Tex” Taylor Walker, and his AFL hero is Lenny Hayes.
