Series coming to Foxtel later this year

When it comes to talent shows, they don’t get any bigger than the worldwide juggernaut series The X Factor. And when it comes to music superstars, Robbie Williams and ex One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson are at the top of the list.

Joining forces for the first time, The X Factor UK has announced that Robbie Williams, along with his actress/presenter wife Ayda Williams, and Louis Tomlinson will be seated in the highly coveted chairs next to Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne to judge the 15th season of the popular reality series.

Robbie Williams is a global superstar who has sold more than 75 million albums over his career and won 18 BRIT Awards – more than any other artist in history. Over the past year, Robbie has been playing to sold out stadiums across the world on his ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show Tour’ which has seen him perform to more than 1.25 million fans across the UK, Europe and Australasia.

His wife Ayda Williams, a respected actress and presenter in her own right, has an invaluable inside take on how the music industry works, and knows first-hand what it takes to forge a successful career. It is the first time on The X Factor UK that a husband and wife have been judges.

In another first for The X Factor series, Louis Tomlinson will make history as the first judge to have also been a contestant on the show. As a member of One Direction Louis sold more than 150 million records worldwide and achieved more than 100 global No1s. For three consecutive years the band were the biggest selling act in the world.

Sharon Osbourne will return to the judging panel alongside music mogul and show creator Simon Cowell, who has been the mastermind behind some of the music industry’s biggest acts – from Leona Lewis and One Direction to Little Mix and James Arthur. Acts from The X Factor UK have sold more than 250 million records globally to date.

The X Factor UK will premiere on FOX8 later this year and be available to stream On Demand.
