It’s the tenth series of Australia’s Next Top Model and the competition is the most fierce it’s ever been. This year, Megan Gale joins Jennifer Hawkins and Alex Perry on the judging panel and Jordan and Zac Stenmark combine forces with Cheyenne as model mentors.

This year, Megan Gale joins Jennifer Hawkins and Alex Perry on the judging panel and Jordan and Zac Stenmark combine forces with Cheyenne as model mentors. The top thirteen are thrown in the deep end on day one with an Alex Perry runway challenge in front of 400 people. They then have to impress in the photo shoot, which is a face off with the winner of series 7, Montana Cox. The episode culminates in an emotion-charged elimination, as one girl’s story brings Megan to tears.
It’s high-pressure week and for the first time this year there’s a massive prize up for grabs in the challenge. The models must work in teams to produce a social media video for Colgate Optic White, with the winner becoming their new brand ambassador! Having such an important prize on the line drives the tension and tears to boiling point. At the photo shoot the models have to work with a huge racehorse whilst being photographed by celebrated portrait photographer – Gary Heery. And to add even more pressure to the week, Australia’s original supermodel Elle Macpherson arrives to mentor the girls, before they all face a nerve-wracking elimination.
It’s working model week and the girls are about to become real working models. The top eleven start their working model week walking for Swarovski at Mercedes Benz Fashion week Australia. Most girls are ready to step up to the plate, but some are feeling the pressure. Summer in particular is nervous, as being in the bottom two two weeks in a row has dampened her confidence. The photo shoot has girls working with each other in groups. Past series alumni Cassi Van Den Dungen, Amanda Ware, Simone Holtznagel drop by to show the girls how to pose for the perfect group shot.
It’s make over week and the Top Ten girls are about to go through the biggest make over in the history of Australia’s Next Top Model. Kassidy has the most dramatic change. Daisy can’t come to terms with a slight trim to her hair while Jessie has to battle her emotions, as her hair cut reminds her of her late father, who passed away when she was 11. After finding out there is no challenge or challenge score the pressure is on for all the girls to nail the photo shoot to stay in the competition. Who will own their new looks and make it through the elimination?
It’s Iconic Model Week and the Top 9 are challenged to perform a screen test in front of Jen Hawkins and Gemma Ward. Daisy nails it but Jessie, Christy and Linnea crumble under the pressure. The girls travel to Tasmania for their first interstate photoshoot assignment and battle freezing conditions. Belinda is struck down by illness and rushed to hospital, unable to shoot.
It’s extreme model week and if that isn’t enough pressure… there is also a shock double elimination to cope with. The models take an plunge to pose underwater at the challenge and the winner is granted immunity from the double elimination. At a fiery photo shoot the models are challenged to turn up the heat if they want to stay in the competition.
After surviving last week’s double elimination, the competition for the top six is fiercer than ever. It’s body model week and the girls are put through their paces with a two-style FitBit look book challenge. Kassidy impresses the judges and wins the prize of being a FitBit ambassador. Sabine struggles in the challenge and is determined to make her mark in the photo shoot. The swimwear photo shoot focuses solely on the girls’ bodies, which brings out insecurities in Belinda and Linnea. Despite this, the girls step up their game and produce some of the best shots of the series. Tensions come to a head when rivalry causes Aleyna to walk off stage. It’s Belinda, however, who doesn’t meet the benchmark set by the other girls, and is sent home.
Its influential model week and there’s a huge prize up for grabs in the challenge. The models will be taking their own photos to promote Mazda and the winner’s image will be used in a nationwide print campaign! At the photo shoot the models are challenged working with over the top costumes but supermodel guest Miranda Kerr is on hand to mentor them.
Our stunning Top 4, Aleyna, Daisy, Linnea and Sabine become international models, jetting off to Milan for the ultimate challenge and photo shoot to decide who will be going through to the season finale. Each girl must face intimidating top Italian designer Gaia Trussardi in a casting to see who is the most model ready. Then for their biggest photo shoot yet, the girls give their all in awesome Italian high fashion outfits with the backdrop of Milan’s Naviglio Grande canal.
Episode 10 Finale
Our Top Two have survived 9 weeks of fierce competition and all that stands between Aleyna and Sabine and the grand prize is one final photoshoot. This week each girl has to become a Modern Princess, shooting an 8-page editorial for leading fashion magazine Elle Australia. Dressed in ethereal gowns and beautiful lingerie, they must bring a look that is cool, edgy and modern. Sabine and Aleyna are joined on the finale runway by this year’s top 11, as well as 40 models from all past 9 series and together they put on the biggest, most spectacular runway that Top Model has ever seen. The judges critique the girls spectacular Elle cover hero shots and the smallest of margins decides who will win the title of Australia’s Next Top Model for 2016.
The top 12 are thrown straight into their first challenge – a runway show in front of Australia’s fashion elite, where some of them fail to impress. Later, they come face to face with Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.
After a video message from Kim Kardashian, the girls hit the streets to take the perfect street style photo. Later, Jen and Alex are joined on the judging panel by Kelly Osborne and she is not afraid to speak her mind.
The girls are off to the opening of iconic fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier’s exhibition in Melbourne where they must impress on the red carpet. Later in the Elimination Room one girl gets an offer of a lifetime.
It’s makeover week and the girls arrive at the Salon to go from schoolgirls to supermodels. With their new look and help from Victoria Secret Angel Elyse Taylor the girls’ face their first swimwear shoot with male models.
The girls hit the beach where they are challenged to work in teams and take a cinemagraph. Later the girls must recreate an iconic shot from the 90’s with help from one of the original supermodels Linda Evangelista.
This week the models face there fears. The challenge sees the models walk a vertical runway down the side of a building. Then the girls face a high-octane photo shoot with a speedway as the backdrop.
The girls are reeling from the tough words Alex gave them at last week’s Elimination and every girl has something to prove. Later at the photo shoot the six remaining models must go toe to toe with Alyssa Sutherland.
The five remaining models must be the life of the party this week at an elegant VIP after-party themed shoot with world-renowned photographer Georges Antoni and special guest judge Megan Gale.
The girls pack their bags and are off to New York to experience life as International Models. After a high stakes challenge the girls get a private posing lesson with internationally renowned model Coco Rocha.
Episode 10: Finale
It’s down to the final two. After the toughest photo-shoot to date, the grand finale kicks off with a fierce fashion show and finishes with the queen of Top Model herself, Tyra Bank helping decide who is Australia’s Next Top Model.
